HESLER, Fannie Bowman

Mrs. Fannie Hesler, 55, life-long resident of Fountain and Montgomery Counties died at her home 5 mi NW of Crawfordsville on State Rd 55 at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon (8 July 1938). She had been in failing health the past three years. She was born near Wallace, October 12, 1882. Mrs. Hesler was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Hybarger Bowman. On Jan 29, 1901, she was married to Harry Hesler who survives. Mrs. Hesler had lived at the home where she died for the past 25 years. In addition to the husband, one daughter, Mrs. John Ditamore of Lafayette; two sons, Okel Hesler, principal of John Beard School, Crawfordsville; and Marvin Hesler, Stockwell; one sister, Mrs. James Parks, near Crawfordsville; two brothers, John and Huston Bowman both of Wallace; and three grandchildren, survives. Funeral services were conducted at the family home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in charge of Rev.John Servies. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery. -- typed by kbz
